RITA RUDNER SHOW LAS VEGAS
Rita Rudner claims she was not a witty child. She was an only child growing up. Her first job was as a dancer. She performed in six different Broadway shows (none of which she will name), before turning to comedy. Rita credits her skill for standing in front of a crowd of drunks and making them laugh as what she used to hone her skills as a comedian. She would talk to these inebriated individuals via microphone as she prepared and polished her hilarious stand-up routines. Though she has no particular reason for why she went from a dancing chorus girl to a comedian (and her therapist has yet to tell her the reason), she has found incredible success in the latter.
Rita is known by those who watch HBO comedy. This successful comedian had her first solo television special on HBO, Rita Rudner’s One Night Stand. The show was so successful it was nominated for not one but two Ace Awards. From there, Rita performed two other specials, both running one hour. Both specials had some of the top ratings for the network. They were coyly named Married without Children and Born to Be Mild. Rita Rudner is also a bestselling author.
