Koi Restaurant Overview
Koi at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino is one of many Japanese restaurants in Las Vegas, but that does not diminish its shine. Before it arrived in Sin City, it was a sensation in the Los Angeles and New York dining scenes, so you know to expect the unexpected.
The passion of Hollywood meshes with a more serene Asian aura to create a one of a kind atmosphere. The cuisine is Japanese, but not traditional Japanese. Koi is known for its California take on Japanese classics. The menu features cooked dishes, sushi and sashimi, and sushi rolls. Some signature dishes are miso-bronzed black cod, grilled tiger prawns, Kobe beef filet mignon toban-yaki and crab with spicy cream and ponzu sauce. Signature cold dishes include tuna tartare and toro sashimi. The cocktails at Koi are of note as well. There is a wide variety including a sake-tini and sin-u-rita. Be sure to inquire into the champagnes, sakes, and wines offered nightly.
Of course, no meal is complete without dessert. The selection at Koi does not disappoint. There is coconut rice, chocolate cake, mocha, signature cheesecake and more. For those who want to try a bit of everything there is a desert platter with small servings of everything. Koi is excellent for diners who want to experience the exotic tastes of Japan without leaving all the familiarity of the American palate behind. Stop by before a show and enjoy a pleasant meal.
