The PRCA also awards the World All-Around Rodeo Champion Cowboy title to the individual who has earned the most money and regularly competed in one or more events during the year. A large amount of money is awarded during the course of the National Finals Rodeo Event in Las Vegas, so whomever the leader is coming into the NFR event is not necessarily the one who will win the All-Around award. Sounds like a perfect fit for Las Vegas' reliance on Lady Luck, now doesn't it?

The National Finals Rodeo was established in 1958 in order to determine the top competitor in each of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association's seven events. Events in the National Finals Rodeo include Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-Down Roping, Barrel Racing and Bull Riding. Las Vegas has been the official home of the National Finals Rodeo since 1985. The NFR is a crazy popular event, drawing fans from all over the country to the Thomas and Mack Center each year. Events always sell out completely and Las Vegas rolls out the red carpet for the cowboys, cowgirls and fans that overtake the city during the NFR.
