On The Record

On the Record is more than just another Las Vegas Nightclub. As one of the newest and most unique entries into the Sin City nightclub scene, On The Record spans an impressive 11,000 square feet through the newly renovated Park MGM, formerly known as the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino. This venue includes three different and unique rooms, all of which are themed around music, hence the name, On The Record. The Club features both indoor and outdoor spaces where guests can socialize, explore, and relax. With ample space and innovative concepts, this nightclub is like nothing The Strip has seen in quite some time. The distinct theme of the venue reflects the unique vision of Mark and Jonnie Houston from Houston Hospitality and their memories of past musical eras. The venue's entrance embraces the look of an old-school record store with many modern upgrades and amenities. The venue oozes musical nostalgia from the album covers in the Vinyl Parlor to the upscale furnishings.

Once inside, the attention to detail of the history of music and television is evident by the intricate and vast tape deck wall and T.V wall. This tape deck hallway is past the Main Room, and it is lined entirely with hundreds of different tape cassettes from various artists throughout musical history. Within this wall is a mysterious secret doorway to the vinyl parlor. This hidden speakeasy is one of the most exciting new features at OTR. With a total capacity of only 25 people, this private room is where most guests want to be, but only a few get to experience it. Here guests will discover an exclusive bar with the best mixologists in the city, and on certain nights, exceptional mixologists from world-famous bars around the country are flown in to showcase their talent and mixing flair.

Another surprise with this high-end lounge is that its walls are covered with hundreds of full-sized albums from various artists of all genres throughout history. What makes these albums so unique is that they are available for patrons to take down and give to the bartenders as inspiration for a special. When you hand the album of your choice to the mixologist in the vinyl parlor, they will blow you away with a unique hand-crafted cocktail that will exceed all expectations and provide an unforgettable taste in your mouth.

Music, Events, Programming

Management always comes up with some creative events. Artist bookings tend to lean a little more on hip-hop music side. However they do toss in some top 40’s nights. Music is still a huge part of On The Record's events, with popular local artists. Their Industry Wednesday party has taken off recently and that goes head to head with EBC at Night.
How much is it to get into OTR Nightclub?

General admission tickets vary from event to event, with bigger headliners commanding higher price points (anywhere from $20-$30 for female tickets and $30-$75 for male tickets). Keep in mind that prices online are typically not the same as the price at the door; club management will always have the final say on what they want to charge you if you don't buy a ticket before doors open. Prices typically do not fluctuate that much for On The Record tickets unless it's a holiday weekend, or they have a huge headliner.
EVENT PRICING: |
Males $20 - $50+ |
Females $20 - $50+ |
NON-EVENT PRICING: |
Males $20+ |
Females $20+ |
If you don't want to deal with the hassle of sorting out entry into the venue on your own, we offer a seamless process and fantastic packages, including hosted VIP entry into the club by one of our VIP Hosts. See Our Cheap Bottle PackagesOn The Record Nightclub Guestlist vs. Presale Tickets: What's better

Getting on the Guestlist is a FREE SERVICE to sign up for, but here's the catch: You have to get there early in exchange for free or discounted entry (depending on the guestlist rules for that event). In the case of a big headliner where online prices are sky-high, and guests are getting in for free on the On The Record guest list, you can be sure that the lines to get in on the list will be out the door. In this case, it's always advisable to arrive early before doors open to secure your spot at the head of the line.
Here's what you can expect on the guest list:
Wednesday: |
Males – Free Entry before 1 am check-in |
Females – Free Entry before 1 am check-in |
Friday/Saturday: |
Males – Free or Discounted Admission (depends on headliner – early arrival recommended) |
Females – Free Entry (early arrival recommended) |
*Early arrival is required for Saturday events, especially with big headliners. Guestlist details are subject to capacity – if the club hits near capacity with the lines outside still full of people, the club may decide to start charging people early.
Get on The On The Record GuestlistSuppose you're planning on attending a big event and can't get there early. In that case, you might want to look into purchasing General Admission tickets in advance to avoid paying the inflated price at the door and to guarantee your entry. Pre-purchased tickets automatically guarantee access to the venue; the Guestlist does not!
Get On The Record TicketsPro Tip: Club guestlists are geared more toward female patrons. All-female groups typically have a little more leeway in terms of arrival time on big nights, while groups with males in their party might not have the same time luxury. Contact your Exploring Las Vegas host to find out what the best course of action is for your group.

What Does OTR Bottle Service Cost?

The venue has several areas within the club that offer different pricing tiers for bottle service:
Main Room Lower Dance Floor - $$$ |
Main Room Upper Dance Floor - $$ |
Hip-Hop Room - $$ |
Record Parlor - $$ |
Karaoke Rooms - $ |
Patio Tables - $ |
Each area has several tables that have varying minimum spends. On a non-peak night, a table in the main room might start at $750 minimum spend but could just as quickly go for $1500 on a busier night.
Pro Tip: Not all locations are created equal. Be sure to view the guide below to see which table is right for you and your party, or contact one of our VIP Hosts for additional recommendations.
Table Service Locations
There's not a bad table in the Club. One of the best things about the tables– there's plenty of room to move around them. They're all pretty good for large groups, and all the main floor tables have security at the center and ends of the sections, so unwanted guests are not allowed in this area.

Owner's Table and Dance Floor Tables

Our favorite tables are the Owner's Table and the Dance Floor tables facing the main bar in the main room. The center table, a.k.a., the Owner's Table, is the back of a vintage Rolls-Royce. It's a small two-three-seater, but it's in the center of the cub and attracts attention. The other four dance floor tables are elevated and roomy. The dance floor tables on the ends are U-shaped and offer a lot of space for a large group of up to 15 people. The rest of the tables accommodate about 8-10 people.
Upper Dance Floor Tables

There are a total of 12 Upper Dance Floor Tables. When combined, they could be six tables for larger groups. These tables are elevated and offer a beautiful view of the Main Room dance floor. If they divide these tables into smaller sections, they are perfect for six to eight people, but if you have a group of 10 to 15, you might need two of these sections. The center four tables have an open fire pit in the middle. If you'd like to warm up on these Prime Tables, just let us know.
Record Parlor Table

They don't always open The Record Parlor Tables for bottle service reservations, but if they do, there are a total of 4 inside – 2 "L" Booths in the corners, and then a couple of two-seaters next to the bar. Ask us if they will have this room open on your weekend.
Living Room Tables

The Living Room is available on busier nights, and there are a total of eight. The larger "U" booths on the left near the DJ hold 10 to 15 people. The four Island Tables in the middle can accommodate 8-10, and the two L-shaped couches near the fireplace hold approximately 12 people. When that room is open, expect more traffic near the Center and U-shaped Tables; the two tables by the fireplace will end up having less traffic.
Patio Tables

The outdoor space is called the Patio. There are a total of 2 tables and, of course, the infamous two-story double-decker vintage Bus Bar. The signature red vehicle makes for an exciting party on the Patio. The space isn't all that big, so all the tables will be in the action when it's busy. The tables can comfortably fit 8 to 10 people, and they are ideal if you want to have a conversation and not be around loud music.
Karaoke Rooms

These are some of the coolest rooms in Las Vegas, and you can bring up to 12 people for a karaoke party. They only have three of these in the entire Club, so they must be booked in advance if you want one. These rooms are somewhat separated, so don't expect much traffic to be heading your way, but they are great if you have a group looking for a private room. And of course, these rooms are complete with a full Karaoke setup, video screens, etc.
What is Bottle Service?

Bottle service at least in Las Vegas, refers to reserving a table inside a nightclub or dayclub. Bottle Service basically refers to someone buying their drinks by the bottle rather than individual drinks over the bar. In other clubs in other cities, there are instances when someone can buy a bottle and not get a table, but those go hand-in-hand in Vegas. You cannot buy a bottle inside a venue without having your own booth.
What is a Minimum Spend?

All nightlife and daylife venues in Las Vegas operate on a minimum spend system. The clubs assign prices to the different table locations inside their venue, and to reserve one, customers must commit to spend that amount before their table gets seated. In other words, the price listed on a pricing sheet under each table location is the minimum amount you need to spend to secure that location. Alcohol, waters, Red Bulls, and food all count toward your minimum spend.
Is Bottle Service Worth it?

Absolutely and without a doubt! It is the ultimate clubbing experience. While venturing onto the dance floor and exploring the venue are memorable experiences on their own, nothing is quite like being able to return to your own area, away from the crowd, and enjoy the artists' stunning performances. If your budget allows for it, I highly suggest booking Bottle Service. If you are a group of guys trying to pull girls or vice versa, tables are the best way to intrigue the ladies to hang.
How many bottles do you get with bottle service?

Truthfully, as many as you can fit into your minimum. Bottle prices start at $40 and vary in price depending on whether you want a specific type of alcohol or a larger bottle. For example, suppose you have a $1,000 minimum and don't want to go over that minimum. In that case, you could theoretically get about two bottles worth (assuming you order the $400 ones) and fill the remaining minimum with small orders of beer/bottled water/Red Bull/etc. Let your host know ahead of time, and we will coordinate with your server depending on your preference!
What is the tip for bottle service?
What you actually want to know is, "How much does bottle service really cost after fees?" Assuming you have a $1000 minimum booked (and don't go over that total), here's how the final bill would break down:
$1000 (Min Spend) |
$83.75 (Nevada sales tax is 8.375%) |
$100 (10.00% venue tax) |
$200 (20% tip to the server) |
$0 (Podium Handshake for Specific Table) |
Total: $1383.75 |

How do I make a reservation, and can I choose my section?

We make reservations simple. Please fill out a form, and one of our VIP Hosts will be in touch shortly to go over your options. The Club's management determines where to seat each confirmed table reservation. We call this " plotting the room ". Once again, the higher your minimum, the better the location. We can request and promise specific table locations based on customer requests. Here's a couple of things that can help us deliver on our promises:
- Arrive on time! We can secure your preferred table, but we cannot ask the venue to hold it the entire night, waiting for you to show up.
- Agree to the recommended minimum for your preferred location. If you want a dance floor table, we can make that happen, provided you agree to the required minimum spend it takes to book it.
- Agree to a podium handshake for express entry and a specific table
How do I get my guests in if they arrive late?

The process is pretty simple. Ideally, it's best if the entire group arrives on time and together, but we understand that stuff happens. Tell your guest(s) to walk up to the ropes, mention the table number and the reservation name, and they will get right in with two exceptions: if there is a capacity issue. The club cannot physically allow anyone else in via the Fire Marshal's rules and regulations or if you are way over your limit on the number of people at your table.
Also, if uninvited guests show up at your table, the easiest way to handle the situation is to get club security to have them removed. I strongly suggest that you DO NOT, under any circumstances, try to remove them yourself because if an altercation occurs, potentially everyone at the table will get kicked out. With over 20+ years of experience in this business, please trust me; this is the best and the only way to handle things.
How do I order a bottle presentation?

You must have a significant reservation booked (usually around $750 or more) and purchase a bottle of champagne to qualify for the presentation. Let your VIP Host know, and one of us will be happy to communicate this request to your server. On some occasions for birthday or special event, a bottle service waitress might bring a display out for much less, just ask your server.
Las Vegas Girl Guy Promoter and Hosts

Let's say you are a group of guys who want to buy bottle service. A girl guy's job is to approach your table and ask if you would like him to round up some girls to help fill out your table…for a tip (we call that "handshakes" in the industry). He then does the legwork of recruiting girls around the venue to introduce them to your table. The girls are happy they get to join a table, your group is happy that there are girls at your table, and the girl guy walks away happy with a handshake. Everybody wins!
But before you employ any venue's girl guy, be sure to ask your Exploring Las Vegas VIP Host (like me) first. We will have plenty of Vegas girls in town on any given weekend and will most likely know a few at this particular venue that we can invite to your table. If your group and the girls don't mesh for whatever reason, we can always ask the girl guy to try their hand at it.
We also offer atmosphere models for a group of guys who might be a little “rusty” or just want some pretty Vegas party girls to hang out with at the table and keep them entertained. A good rule of thumb is a $100 an hour per girl for a 4-hour minimum.
How much are drinks at On The Record?

Drinks vary in price depending on which bar you go to within the Club. Overall, this venue is slightly below the industry pricing average; most mixed drinks range from $10 - $15 per drink, and Beers from $10 - $12 each. However, in the Vinyl Parlor Speakeasy Bar, the specialty cocktails can get pricey, ranging from $25-$30+ each. Individual Premium One-Liter Bottles, like Grey Goose, Cîroc, Patron, and Crown Royal, are $450- $475.

What is the On The Record Dress Code?

Dressing to impress will often increase your chances of getting inside; it's an unwritten rule that management likes good-looking, well-dressed partygoers in their club. Yes they do have a strict dress code For women, pretty much anything goes but keep in mind Marquee is a classy club. You will need to dress the part, so you don't look out of place. Gentlemen – shorts, sandals, athletic gear, hats, gym shoes, baggy gear are not allowed. A nice pair of dress shoes, dress jeans or pants, and a collared/designer shirt will fit the bill.
Vegas Dress Code GuideJemaa Pool and Other MGM Nightlife Venues

The OTR experience isn't complete until you come back the next day for their popular pool party, Jemaa Pool, Vibrant and exciting, The Nomad pool remains one of the most asked-for pool parties in the City. MGM Nightlife also operates Alibi Lounge in the Aria and a couple of other restaurants and lounges around town.
MGM Nightlife Security

Before entry, all guests are required to turn out their pockets (for ladies, they will look in your purse), submit to a metal detector test, and make sure everyone entering is not bringing in anything dangerous. It's equivalent to going through the TSA line at the airport. This applies to all guests, whether you are going in with a table or General Admission.
Pro Tip: If you purchased a table and some unwanted people wander in by accident, it is always best to have the security staff ask them to leave instead of doing it yourself to avoid potential altercations. In the event of a confrontation between guests, both parties may likely be asked to leave. Security has the final say on such matters.
Big Tip: You must be 21 to enter and have a valid form of ID; pictures on your phone are not accepted, and neither are papers. International guests, bring your passport; your foreign IDs will not work here. The rules in Vegas are straightforward; NO ID means NO ENTRY. And yes, we know that Marijuana is legal in Nevada, but the casinos operate under Federal licenses, which still makes weed and weed pens in casinos and clubs off-limits. An even Bigger Tip: Don't even take a chance; it's not worth it!
Las Vegas Security GuideWhat can't I bring into the venue?
Here are some things that you will be either asked to throw away or go back to your room to deposit before coming back:
- Vapes – while weed dispensaries are extremely popular and vaping is in vogue, most venues will not allow vapes inside their premises and will ask you to leave it in your room or at the very least throw away the cartridge inside, even if it isn't a CBD cartridge.
- Camera equipment – the only recording equipment you are allowed to bring is the one on your phone. Digital cameras, selfie sticks, et al. are not allowed into the venue.
- Outside Food/Beverages
- Prescription medication (or anything resembling pills) – if you need a specific type of prescription medication while you are inside the venue, you will have to bring the prescription and explain what the medicine is for; otherwise, expect to get pulled to the side.
- Packs of gum – this only applies to day clubs, which tend to be a lot stricter about checking everything that goes into the venue, but guests have been known to try and sneak drugs inside packs of gum to get them into the venue, so expect to have your gum taken away at the door.
- Oversized bags – anything larger than a lady’s clutch will be denied into the venue. This applies to most backpacks, gym bags, totes, etc. While most hotels can hold onto your luggage at the bell desk
Let's look ahead. What's happening on New Year's Eve 2024?

You can count on sold out party for New Years. Management has a competitive price point compared to other spots so this event will certainly be a great value.
