Vinyl Room is one of the freshest additions to the Las Vegas nightlife scene, opening its doors on August 8, 2026, on the 63rd floor of Mandalay Bay. The space takes over the legendary rooftop perch once held by the Foundation Room, which ran from 1999 until it closed in late 2025. Live Nation and MGM Resorts International partnered on a full top-to-bottom overhaul, trading the old gothic-mansion look for something totally different: a modern homage to 1970s Japanese high-fidelity listening lounges, built around the same sweeping Strip views that made the space famous in the first place.

Vinyl Room spans roughly 15,000 square feet and is built around three distinct areas, each named for a vinyl record speed: the 78 Lounge, the 45 Dining Room, and the members-only 33 Room. Curated vinyl records and music memorabilia are layered throughout, including a hand-installed wheatpaste poster wall celebrating the legendary artists who've shaped Las Vegas' entertainment legacy, from the Rat Pack era through disco and hip-hop.

Unlike a traditional EDM megaclub, Vinyl Room leans into a broader, genre-spanning format — DJs spin everything from disco and funk to house and hip-hop, and the vibe shifts as the night goes on. Guests can start with happy hour or dinner off the bold Asian-inspired menu, then settle in as the room transitions into a late-night listening lounge and nightlife destination.
