Classic Cher Overview

When Cher wrapped her Living Proof: The Farewell Tour in 2005, fans worried they would never hear her sing live again. Thankfully, instead of retiring Cher moved to Las Vegas. Fan response was so significant that Cher actually did tour again in 2014, promising that the Dressed To Kill Tour would truly be her last hurrah. Once again, Cher followed her wildly successful tour with a residency in Las Vegas.

This time, Cher is performing Classic Cher at the Park Theater at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. What can you expect from Classic Cher? Exactly what the name implies. Cher's career has spanned over half a century. She is the only artist in history to chart a Billboard number-one single in six consecutive decades. With over 100 million records sold worldwide, she truly is the queen of pop, though it's safe to say she transcends all genres.

The set list of the show's opening night included an amazing roster of 19 different songs. The songs are a veritable timeline of Cher's world chart domination, beginning with her first hit as half of Sonny & Cher, "I Got You Babe." Also included was her first big solo hit, "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)." Standout reinvention singles like "Believe" will appeal to more recent fans, as will her most recent number-one single, "Woman's World."

Fans of the icon's fearless on-stage fashions will be excited to know that her longtime costume designer Bob Mackie collaborated with the songstress again to create updated versions of all of her most recognizable looks. Cher makes a total of 11 different costume changes with bigger wigs and blingier gowns than ever before. At 71, she's still more than willing to show some skin.

The show opened on February 8, 2017. Only a few dozen live concerts were scheduled, and now Cher is in the latter half of her performances. The Park Theater is large enough to hold everything Cher has to offer but small enough to give a good view from all of its approximately 5,000 seats. This truly could be your last chance to see Cher live. (And even if it isn't, you'll never regret seeing the timeless legend again.)
