FLAMINGO HOTEL LAS VEGAS
|
|
Welcome to the start of Las Vegas. The vision of "Bugsy" Siegel began with the Flamingo. Although the one today is not the original, Flamingo Hotel Las Vegas's name is still synonymous with the beginning of sin city.
One of the most impressive sights at this resort is indeed the botanical gardens as it serves home to exotic creatures. Beautiful pink flamingos stand wayside as Mandarin ducks and African penguins waddle within their adopted habitats. Waterfalls cascade down rocks as streams maneuver around the lush green walkways.
Inside, the Flamingo Hotel Las Vegas is glamorous and exciting. Crowd pleasing shows like Second City and the very funny George Wallace have nightly engagements. Toni Braxton also makes her Strip debut in the showroom at Flamingo.

A very popular musician has opened his themed restaurant at the hotel, Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville is a tropical hangout where visitors can let loose while enjoying great food. Hamada of Japan, Steakhouse 46, and the Paradise Garden Buffet give you the choice of cultural, formal, or casual dining.
Flamingo encompasses the feeling of a tropical resort. You have the pleasures of a spa and health club along with a 15-acre pool area. Once you're at the Flamingo, you will have found the essence of being on vacation.

This was our first visit to Las Vegas, not knowing what to totally expect, we chose Flamingo hotel, for price, availability, location, and to tell you the truth, we were very pleased from what was offered, the amenities were great, location was awesome. the casino and staff treated us very nice, overall hospitality was great, came home telling friends and relatives to put Vegas and the Flamingo hotel on their must do list, thank you and all the staff at your hotel for showing us that vegas isn't all about sex and party life like most who think it may be, your pool area was awesome, the buffet was good, the atmosphere was superb for us and met our enjoyment to the fullest, would we stay there again...heck ya....tell others to stay there also...thanks again for a great time in your hotel and to las vegas...hope to come back soon...Aaron Detches Indianapolis, Indiana

The Flamingo, if Benjamin Bugsy had known which this hotel will be ontime.. wow wow. I like the lights from the Flamingo ahah very nice. Flamingo Las Vegas itself is nice too. Near pool and the wedding chapel there is a free Flamingo habitat attraction, which has a nice flair. Very nice to calm down from the hot Vegas sun in summer, very quiet there and you can relax.. You should see the garden whether or not you stay at Flamingo Hotel.!

Staying in the Flamingo means lining up! Check in took over 90 minutes, while lined up to check out (30 minutes) I was talking to others who had lined up for over 2 hours just to check in. To eat at some of the hotel restaurants, line up! I didn't try all the restaurants, but most everytime I went by one there were line ups. The times are not specified when they are open so it can be hit and miss. The restaurant guide found in the rooms gives the hours, but nobody informed the restaurants would be my guess. The pool is lovely at the Flamingo, but to go on the slides there are huge lineups. When checking out and leaving your baggage for several hours with baggage claim make sure you arrive to collect your luggage an hour before you need to get to the airport, as it took quite a long time to get my luggage. The rooms are quite nice, all the staff that I was in contact with were very nice and polite. Waiting in lines the length of time that I did to check in, check out, and collecting luggage was totally unacceptable. .
