Day Before Tanning (Preparation)

This is the time for you to wax/shave the areas you want to get tanned. Exfoliating is also recommended to help with the spray tan application, and it helps tans last longer. Avoid using oily scrubs.

Day Of Tanning Appointment

On the day of your appointment, please ensure that any showers you want to take are at least 3 hours before your application – showering right before the tanning appointment WILL affect results negatively. Also, do not apply deodorant, lotions, perfume, or make-up before application.

Wear loose and baggy clothing to your appointment, including yoga pants or leggings. You don't want the tanning solution to rub off on your clothes! Don't come into contact with water for at least 6 hours after application. Make sure the weather forecast says there's no impending rain. Nothing ruins a spray tan like unexpected rain!

After Tanning

Taking care of your tan will help it last that much longer. Hold off on excessive sweating and swimming until after you've had your first shower (at least 6 hours after application), and it's best to sleep in dark clothing/bed sheets (avoid silk) to be on the safe side of things.

During your first shower, some of the bronzers may wash off (a normal occurrence), but your tan will stay intact. Moisturizing will help preserve a long-lasting tan but avoid any exfoliating products or anything harsh to the skin that will make the tanning solution wear off. Now that you're all tanned and looking great, you're ready to hit the town!
