KAMU Karaoke

KAMU Ultra Karaoke

Location: Location: Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
Hours of Operation: Thursday thru Sunday, 6 PM – 6 AM, Monday thru Wednesday 6 PM – 5 AM
Vibe Check: The Ultimate Karaoke experience
Rating:  4.4 stars

Karaoke emerged in Japan in the early 1970s, and by the 1980s, it had become a global phenomenon. The trend seemed to cool off in the mid-1990s but has since made a resurgence, evidenced by all the Karaoke venues popping up at restaurants and bars. The Karaoke Bar is its own culture: singing, drinking, dancing, and camaraderie. It's a great escape and a stress reliever; it provides 15 minutes of fame and fulfills a fantasy of becoming a rockstar, even if it is only for one night. Karaoke appeals to people who love to sing, regardless of whether they can. It's interactive entertainment, highly addicting, and the perfect activity for a group of friends to celebrate a birthday or host a bachelor/bachelorette party.

The Karaoke craze is alive and well in Sin City, especially at KAMU Ultra Karaoke. But what really makes KAMU Ultra Karaoke stand out from the rest is that it is different than your average Karaoke bar or Vegas nightclub. It features traditional Karaoke in a non-traditional, upscale setting. This 17,000 sq. ft. Ultra-Lounge combines nightlife, dining, and a private karaoke experience with 40 luxury soundproof suites and 6 VIP suites – individually themed, state-of-the-art equipment, an extensive library of hits to choose from, a gourmet Asian-style menu, and premier bottle service. The KAMU Ultra Karaoke experience will leave you with a memorable night.

Who is Brian Pfeiffer with Exploring Las Vegas?

Before I dive in, my name is Brian Pfeiffer, owner of the parent company, Surreal LLC, the holding company of this site. I have worked in Vegas nightlife since 2012 and was the top promoter in Chicago since 2002! I am a licensed independent host by the Nevada Gaming Commission and as a Clark County Professional Promoter. We book 100's of groups each month and have 1000's of 5-star reviews over five large authority websites. Our passion is making your Sin City trip unforgettable, and with our package deals and years of experience, you can count on us to make excellence happen.

Where is Kamu Vegas located

Many people this that the venue is located in the Venetian; however, the location is actually in the Palazzo Resort Hotel & Casino at 3327 S Las Vegas Blvd Suite 2890, Las Vegas, NV 89109. The confusion lies in the Grand Canal Shoppes that connect the two hotels; the lounge is in the mall but much closer to the Palazzo side

Pro Tip #1: If you are driving, taking a limo, or rideshare, then you will want to get dropped off at Valet at the Palazzo or park in the garage, once inside go to the upper level of the Grand Canal mall and look at the map to find the venue. It's on the north end in the corner next to Sushi Samba

What Nights is Kamu Venetian Open?

Thursday to Sunday Doors open at 6 PM to 5 AM
Monday to Wednesday Door open at 6 PM to 5 AM

What Exactly is Bottle Service?

Most suites will require you to buy at least one bottle in the $500-$600 range. You can order individual drinks after the bottle. We have several packages starting at $500 before tip and tax, including entrees and Karaoke. We will tailor a package to fit your budget and your group size; whether you want dinner and drinks or just drinks, we are here to help you make the most of your visit. For a $600 minimum spend, you will get a $400 bottle and have $200 left to spend on food, bottle waters, Red Bulls, or shots.

What Comes with My Bottle Service?

Bottle service comes with a bottle of choice, an attractive female server, typically a male busser, standard mixers, and table garnishes. Standard Mixers: Cranberry, Orange Juice, Tonic, Soda Water, Coke, and Diet Coke

Garnishes: Slices of lemons and limes, strawberries for champagne, napkins, straws, and extra glasses are complimentary.

**Red Bulls and Bottled Water are extra.

What is a "minimum"? Are Bottles More?

Clubs often operate on a minimum spend requirement (or "min," for short) system for their table reservations. The customer must either reach or exceed the amount set for their minimum spend. While the table is not charged separately, the larger the suite, the higher the minimum spend requirement. To reach this minimum requirement, the customer can order anything from the beverage menu (bottled alcohol, cases of beer, bottled water, Red Bulls, etc., all count toward your minimum requirement).

Group size could also be a factor in raising your minimum spend. The larger your group, the more accommodations the venue must provide the same VIP experience to its customers. For example, a party of 15-20 people will require a larger space than the typical customer and require more staff service; thus, their minimum would be much higher than a customer coming in with five people.

Is bottle service worth it?

Absolutely and without a doubt! It is the ultimate clubbing experience. Nothing is quite like having your own area, away from the crowd, and enjoying your friends' stunning performances. If your budget allows for it, I highly suggest booking Bottle Service. If you are a group of guys trying to pull girls or vice versa, tables are the 🔑 to help that process, and we have ladies available, see below,

How many bottles do you get with bottle service?

Truthfully, as many as you can fit into your minimum. Bottle prices start at $400 and vary in price depending on whether you want a specific type of alcohol or a larger bottle. For example, suppose you have a $1,000 minimum and don't want to go over the minimum. In that case, you could theoretically get about two bottles (assuming you order the $400 ones) and fill the remaining minimum with small orders of beer/bottled water/Red Bulls/etc. Let your host know in advance, and we will coordinate with your server depending on your preference!

What is the tip for bottle service?

What you actually want to know is, "How much does bottle service really cost after fees?" Assuming you have a $750 minimum booked (and don't go over that total), here's how the final bill would break down:

$700 (Min Spend)
$58.625 (Nevada sales tax is 8.375%)
$0 (0% venue tax)
$140 (20% tip to the server)
$0 (Podium Handshake for Specific Table)

How do I make a reservation, and can I choose my suite?

We make reservations simple - fill out a form, and one of our VIP Hosts will be in touch shortly to go over your options. Please look at the above PDF and let us know of a couple of options for suites you and your group likes.

  • Arrive on time! We can secure your preferred table, but we cannot ask the venue to hold it the entire night, waiting for you to show up.

  • Agree to the recommended minimum for your preferred location. If you want a large VIP suite, we can make that happen, provided you agree to the required minimum spend it takes to book it.

How do I get my guests in if they arrive late?

The process is pretty simple. Ideally, it's best if the entire group arrives on time and together, but we understand that stuff happens. Tell your guest(s) to walk up to the ropes, mention the suite number and the reservation name, and they will get right in with two exceptions: if there is a capacity issue. The club cannot physically allow anyone else in via the Fire Marshal's rules and regulations or if you are way over your limit on the number of people at your table.

Also, if uninvited guests show up at your table, the easiest way to handle the situation is to get club security to have them removed. I strongly suggest that you DO NOT, under any circumstances, try to remove them yourself because if an altercation occurs, potentially everyone at the table will get kicked out. With over 20+ years of experience in this business, please trust me; this is the best and the only way to handle things.

What is a Promoter Girl Guy Host?

Let's say you are a group of guys who want to buy bottle service. A girl guy's job is to approach your table and ask if you would like him to round up some girls to help fill out your table…for a tip (we call that "handshakes" in the industry). He then does the legwork of recruiting girls around the venue to introduce them to your table. The girls are happy they get to join a table, your group is happy that there are girls at your table, and the girl guy walks away happy with a handshake. Everybody wins!

But before you employ any venue's girl guy, be sure to ask your Exploring Las Vegas VIP Host (like me) first. We will have plenty of female guests in town on any given weekend and will most likely know a few at this particular venue that we can invite to your table. If your group and the girls don't mesh for whatever reason, we can always ask the girl guy to try their hand at it.

We also offer atmosphere models for a group of guys who just want some pretty Vegas party girls to hang out with at the table and keep them entertained. A good rule of thumb is a $100 an hour per girl for a 4-hour minimum.

How much are drinks?

Bottle prices start at $400 on non-holidays and vary in price depending on the type of alcohol and size of the bottle. Beers start at around $10, and drinks are $25.

Why should I book with Exploring Vegas?

We are a licensed Independent Host Company that works with all the top venues in the city, and we have a fantastic customer track record. The difference between hosts employed by the clubs and Independent Hosts is that we do not work for the clubs; we work for you; the customer. We work strictly with the management at all the venues in Las Vegas, and we are well-respected in town. We will give you exact instructions, host your entry, and are available for any questions 24/7 via our website, messenger, call, text, or email.

What is Kamu's Dress Code

It's an upscale Karaoke Lounge, but they don't have any sort of dress code, but you will want to dress to impress.

KAMU Security

Before entry, all guests are required to turn out their pockets/purses and submit to a metal detector test to make sure everyone entering is not bringing in anything dangerous or illegal. It is equivalent to TSA at the airport, only stricter!

Pro Tip: If you purchased a table and some unwanted people wander in by accident, it is always best to have the security staff ask them to leave instead of doing it yourself to avoid potential altercations. In the event of a confrontation between guests, both parties may likely be asked to leave. Security has the final say on such matters.

What can't I bring into the venue?

Here are some things that you will be either asked to throw away or go back to your room to deposit before coming back:

  • Vapes – while weed dispensaries are extremely popular and vaping is in vogue, most venues will not allow vapes inside their premises and will ask you to leave it in your room or at the very least throw away the cartridge inside, even if it isn't a CBD cartridge.
  • Camera equipment – the only recording equipment you are allowed to bring is the one on your phone. Digital cameras, selfie sticks, et al., are not allowed into the venue.
  • Outside Food/Beverages
  • Prescription medication (or anything resembling pills) – if you need a specific type of prescription medication while inside the venue, you will have to bring the prescription and explain what the medicine is for; otherwise, expect to get pulled to the side.
  • Packs of gum – this only applies to day clubs, which tend to be a lot stricter about checking everything that goes into the venue, but guests have been known to try and sneak drugs inside packs of gum to get them into the venue, so expect to have your gum taken away at the door.
  • Oversized bags – anything larger than a lady's clutch will be denied into the venue. This applies to most backpacks, gym bags, totes, etc. While most hotels can hold onto your luggage at the bell desk

For those of you locals and service industry pros, Monday is the Industry Night, and they have steep discounts on bottles and suite rentals.
