If you're reading this guide, chances are you're planning your trip to Vegas and trying to get the lay of the land. You've done your homework, looked up the events you want to attend for the dates that you're in town, and now you're planning your itinerary.
The question is, what's your best method of entry? Your half-assed internet research has pulled up terms like "guest list" and "VIP Entry", and you're unsure of how best to proceed about getting into these parties.
In the brief guide below, we will be touching on purchasing tickets for Las Vegas nightclubs and dayclubs.

TICKETS VS. GUESTLIST
Nightclubs and pool parties in Las Vegas use several methods to get their customers into their venues. You can pay cover at the door, you can buy presale tickets for events, and you can get on the guestlist for these events (if available).
While getting on the guest list is the most popular method (since it's free), sometimes it's better for your group to purchase tickets to the event you want to attend to lock down your entry.
Using the guestlist requires you and your group to arrive early and is not guaranteed entry (it's based on arrival time, availability, and business levels). People who purchase their tickets ahead of time are guaranteed a spot inside the club and take precedence over the free guestlist when entering the club – although yes, sometimes even having a ticket does mean you have to wait a little bit on busy nights, but even more so for guest list patrons.
Some events do not have a guest list at all; it depends on the number of tickets sold and the level of performer, so it's better to ask your host first if that's the method you should be using to get your group in.
EXPEDITED TICKETS
Some clubs have options in which they sell expedited entry tickets ahead of time for guests that want to spend that extra money to get preferential treatment – kind of like purchasing a fast pass at Disneyland (and if you've ever seen the guestlist line on a Zedd or Calvin Harris night, it might as well be a Disneyland line.
Suppose this is something you are interested in. In that case, I highly recommend looking into our VIP Entry options where we can escort small groups in through the VIP Bottle Service lines for a small fee, which might end up being cheaper than the event's pricing you want to pay extra for. With site fees, taxes, and all the other extra things you pay for online on top of the ticket, this might be a good option for your group to pursue.
Request VIP EntryNOTE: expedited tickets, VIP Entry, and all other fast-pass options are typically not available for the biggest events that require tickets like Drake or Migos.

VIP BAR CARDS AND TAO'S "V.I.WE"
If you've looked into the purchasing tickets and have perused Hakkasan and OMNIA, there is an option to purchase what they call a VIP Bar Card. This option allows the customer to purchase an expedited entry + $100 gift card they can use at the bars inside (hence the name) by bundling both together for a cheaper price. It usually amounts to paying the $100 and waiving the entry ticket cost. This is one of the best deals any major venue can offer general admission guests since the price of drinks inside the club will easily get your bar tab to that $100 price range.
TAO Nightclub Las Vegas offers another deal called "V.I.We," a promotion in which they have a small number of tables set aside inside the club for guests of this designation as a sort of community area to sit and order bottle service without actually reserving your own table.
As Vegas veterans will attest, there is nowhere to sit inside the venues unless you buy your own table. The downside? You're sharing this space with all other guests who have these V.I.We wristbands, so you're constantly relocating and may not have room for all the members of your party, but for smaller groups and couples who don't want to splurge for bottle service, this is a good option.
WHAT'S THE VERDICT?
Buying tickets is the standard way of attending any event and maybe your best bet in some situations. However, with the myriad of ways there are to enter a Vegas nightclub or pool party, you may want to explore other free/cheaper options than buying tickets upfront.
Our recommendation? Ask first to see if that option is right for your group.
Hopefully, this guide has been helpful in giving you a little bit of an insight into the world of Vegas nightlife!
